As a Satara local, i know the best misal joints come alige after midnight. Last week, i took my friends to my friends to my favorite stall near the old bus stand. The aroma of freshly tempered gravy and freshly baked pav filled the air as we settled on wobbly plastic chairs. The owner served us streaming bowls of ruby-red Misal topped with crunchy farsan, finely chopped onions, and a squeezed of limbu. The first spicy sweet bite exploded with flavors the perfect balance of fiery Kolhapuri spices and tangy tamarind. We tore into soft, battery pav, dunking it eagerly into the rich gravy.
