My First Trip To Konkan Coast, Freedom, Fear & much more....... π΄πΏ
I had always people takl about how peaceful and beautiful the Konkan Coast is, so when my friends and i finally decided to go, i was honestly just excited to get out of the city for few days.
We took an early morning train from Pune to Khed, and from there, then we took my friend car to reach in Dapoli it wasn't a fancy resort, just a cozy homestay near the beach, i never see beach before, it was my first time to see the beach. It instantly felt like home. The journey itself was fun music on full volume, endless snacks, and nonstop leg pulling.
At one point, my friend Sakshi said, "Bhai, iss baar toh asli break lag raha hai zindagi main." And we felt it and we laughed, nodding in agreement. As soon as we reached and saw the beach, i felt this sudden wave of calm. The salty breez, the sound of wave, the slow place of the village it was a different world. In the evenings, we'd walk along the shore barefoot, until i get tired, then me and my frnds collecting shells and having those classic heart-to-heart talks. I remember one of us saying, "Kya yeh Goa se better hai?" and my another friend replied, "Goa is noise, this is peace." And we all agreed to that point.
Then next day we exploring a jungle trail and got a bit lost with no network, and fading light, we were nervous, but still cracking jokes to keep it light. "Agar bhoot mila na, tu pehele bhaag lena," my friend told me, then i replied to him, "Main camera leke bhagungi viral toh main hi ho jaungi," and literally nothing can bit my friends from jocking.
Then we are getting so hungry then we decided to go restaurant and full fill our tummy, then we ordered obviously I'm vegetarian so i cant eat fish and sea food, so i ordered veg for me and off course my other friends are craving for the sea food. Every meal came with a hot, fresh fish thali surmai or bangda fried crisp, rice, solkadhi, bhakri, and the kind of home style curry that made you close your eyes with the first bite.
We'd sit on the terrace at night, under a sky full of stars, sipping chai and juts talking about life, drams, and stupid things we did in college. That trip gave me everything peace, laughter, adventure, and moments that still meke me smile when i think back. Sometimes, all you need is a few friends, a simple plan, and escape like konkan to feel again. π΄πΏπΌπ£
