Sajjangad : A Calm Place That Feels Far From The Noice
Sajjangad : A Calm Place That Feels Far From The Noice
Being from Satara, I've Sajjangad from a distance many times. But one morning i finally decided to go there with friends no big plans, just wanted some place.
The ride up the ghat was beautiful. Cool breeze, small turns, and views of the valley that made us stop a few times just to look around. Once we reached the top, the entire vibe changed. It was calm. Silent. No city noise, just nature and peace.
We climbed a few steps, removed our shoes, and entered the main Temple. The energy there felt different quite and respectful. We sat for a while, didn't talk much, just soaked it in. The view from the top was beautiful too, you can see hills stretching in every direction
Then we are starved so we decided to take Prasad. They also served simple Prasad which is simple but is not simple because of the flavors, many people come from far away just for the Prasad so it feels just right also. Filling and pure.
Sajjangad is not just for those who are religious. Even if you just want a mental break, fresh air, or time to think, this place gives you that. I'm glad i finally went. Sometimes the best places are the once close to home.
